Be a part of the solution. For over 10 years the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina in China Grove has provided sanctuary and rehabilitation for the abused and neglected horses in North Carolina. On Saturday November 6th HPS will have their first ever Placement Day. To allow horse that are ready for their new lives to meet prospective partners. From 10:00am to 2:00 pm our barns will be open to those seriously interested in providing a safe and caring home for one of our rehabilitated horses. Our placement process includes a formal application and placement fee ranging from $100.00- $150.00. A variety of breeds and colors are available for all different level of riders. While at our farm we work hard to get our horses in the best physical health possible with regular farrier visits and veterinary care. All of our ride-able horses take part in an intensive training program, getting them back under saddle and ready to ride. From starvation cases to abandonment, neglect to intentional cruelty we have seen it all. At present HPS is home to 48 amazing horses and with winter approaching many more horses will be in need of our help. It is our hope and goal to find the best forever homes for our horses.
